VirtualDrive Pro CD emulator converts CDs and unprotected DVDs into a compressed images, or "virtual CDs." Virtual CDs are something like MP3s for games and disc-based applications: they run directly on the hard drive, saving wear and tear on the CD-ROM drive and extending the battery life of laptop computers. Users can manage their virtual CDs in a searchable VCD library, share them over a network, and transport them on just about any digital device. Virtual CDs have access rates nearly 200 times faster than physical discs in a CD-ROM drive, improving the performance of PC games, photo CDs, and disc-based applications. VirtualDrive Pro's simple, intuitive interface makes it a snap to create custom virtual CDs containing favorite tracks, expansion packs, documentation, and custom programs.
