Backup2 NET is a powerful backup program for Windows that lets you save your backups to network locations. Has its own scheduler that allows you to automate the backup task and protect your data from partial or total loss. Backups can be password protected and compressed to save storage space.

Backup2 NET can back-up open/locked files and it can perform four different backup types: full backup, differential backup, incremental backup and mirror backups. When defining a backup job you can set file filters to selectively back-up your data. Once a backup is performed, you can see what files have been changed since the last backup or you can read the statistics about the next backup execution. Backup2 NET lets you add predefined backup jobs that will automatically back-up specific programs, settings or data, such as: My Documents, My Pictures, Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Internet Favorites. Backup2 NET supports backup plugins which means you can load many other predefined backups that back-up specific programs and settings. We have hundreds of backup plugins available for free, and it's easy to create your own backup plugin too.

Backup2 NET has ZIP64 support (can create backups over 2 GB) and creates standard zip files, meaning that you can access it with any zip compatible utility. Backup2 NET also allows you to encrypt your backup to protect it from unauthorized access.

Backup2 NET keeps track of file versions. You can easily restore any version of files or a whole folder. You can filter files to be restored.
Once a backup is finished, Backup2 NET will automatically test it to ensure the backup is safe and correctly executed (uses CRC32).
