Speed Reader X worth a try
I never thought of to learn to speed read before, until recently I read an article with title "Are you reading with a little voice in your brain now? You are actually reading at a first grade level…" I look for products around to learn to speed read, that's why I come to Speed Reader X. Here are the pros and cons for the product in my opinion:
Pros:
- Much cheaper than similar products in the market.
- Has been launched for a few years and undergone 10 version upgrades, thus it is tweaked for user experience.
- Has already a customer base, and has been used in some colleges and organizations, so it is a mature product and not like those buggy ones.
Cons:
- Some part of the system may not work on MACOSX.
Other than the pros and cons, I've also looked into other aspects of the product, like best practice, development history, etc. You can go to http://www.speedreaderxreview.com to have a look.

Great program, good at teaching
I have tried several speed reading programs and this is by far the best and one of the least expensive. The information they provide is the best I have seen. Too many programs throw exercises at you without telling you what you are supposed to learn. It is almost like they are afraid to reveal the secret of speed reading. Speed Reader X is not afraid and they explain everything very well.
