Nice, But Could Stand Some Work
I loved the program when I first ran it. The UI is very intuitive; within about five minutes of installing it I had three different icon configurations set up and saved, and I could swap between them easily. It seemed to be doing its job perfectly for a fewdays, until I happened to switch from my standard two-monitor configuration (my laptop screen and another monitor) to a dual-monitor setup at a different desk with the laptop screen closed. It didn't really like that too much, and swapping to any f my three icon configurations resulted in ALL my icons disappearing. This happened repeatedly over two weeks as I switched between different multiple-monitor configurations. I'm forced to conclude that Amelix Icon Manager was simply NOT designed for icons spanning multiple monitors. I was able to work around the problem by keeping all my icons on the laptop screen, or n the primary monitor if the laptop screen was closed. Icon Manager seemed to like that a lot more. All in all, a great program, but seemingly designed with a fairly major oversight.
